I wasn’t an original Jonas Brothers fan, so maybe I have no right to this opinion, but these new singles are not the Jonas Brothers. I’m not saying that because it’s pop; I LOVED the recent album “Happiness Begins” from last year. Who didn’t? It was unprecedent for a boy band to come back and hit it off so big, bold and new. My problem is this: why do we go from singing about new beginnings, happiness, and being together to singing about so much sensual nonsense that you find in “XV”? Creatively, these singles fall flat and will help the brothers go nowhere in the future. What the Jonas Brothers have now is a golden opportunity to be the best they ever can be. They have global attention right now, endless directions to go, and the ability to come together to create something outright beautiful. I hate to see their best moments wasted. Their most original and personal song has got to be “Jersey” from the documentary album. That one hits me every time. It’s so personal and relatable; even if I don’t relate entirely doctrinally on the spiritual matters, but nonetheless, THAT SONG IS SO THEM! What kills me is to see them ditch that whole idea and theme in a year to create these two superficial sensual sequels that absolutely contribute nothing to the band. Jonas Brothers! Wake up! This is the moment to write yourself in the history books as more than just a band that sings about subjects that don’t matter! I believe in you guys!!
This song is super catchy and makes you want to get up and dance. The Jonas Brothers have evolved and this is another testament to their musical growth. Another hit! Great job JB and Karol G!
This song is such a bop and has been since the end credits of Happiness Continues. Have had it on repeat since the release and will continue to have it on repeat for the summer!! Party vibessss!
You can always count on the Jonas Brothers to produce fun, dance worthy music. Both songs are a great mix of strong lyrics and great melodies. A+ rating! Can’t wait for more new music from them!
Jonas Brothers have worked so hard since day 1 on everything they create. They’ve grown up since their debut with Columbia Records and their music has grown with them. These two songs are a reflection of their being older. X is an amazing pop song full of energy & life featuring beautiful vocals in Spanish by Karol G & Five More Minutes is a soft & nice song that will make anyone melt with how warm & sweet it sounds. The boys are showing their range in types of pop songs they can create & they’ve done a wonderful job doing so showing these other artists out here how it’s done. The one star reviews are people who don’t like or care about Jonas Brothers they only went to Happiness Begins Tour & bought Happiness Begins bc of the clout they’d get on the internet about their supposed nostalgia when in 2008 they were the ones making fun of the people who liked Jonas Brothers & would trash the boys too.
